Presented by Mesa Arts Center as part of the Performing Live series, Adam Golka celebrates Beethoven’s 250th birthday in an online event at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17.

Mr. Golka is to play all 32 of Beethoven’s Sonatas in performance, going hand in hand with his next recordings with First Hand Records. Ludwig van Beethoven was born on Dec. 16, 1770, and baptized on Dec. 17, according to a release.

The performance will be prerecorded for Mesa Arts Center to ensure a quality presentation. Purchase tickets for $10 at boxoffice.mesaartscenter.com.

Polish-American pianist Mr. Golka has been regularly on the concert stage since the age of 16, when he won first prize at the 2nd China Shanghai International Piano Competition. He has also received the Gilmore Young Artist Award and the Max I. Allen Classical Fellowship Award from the American Pianists Association, and was presented by Sir András Schiff in recitals at the Klavier-Festival Ruhr in Germany, Tonhalle Zürich, and in Berlin and New York, the release states.
