Posted

An Ace Hardware store is proposed for a piece of land sold near Recker and Williams Field roads June 30.

The 2.05 acres of land at 4099 E. Williams Field Road was sold for $800,000 from Evergreen Development Co. to entity tracing to Rodney Blanco, Brenna Blanco-Roberts and James Roberts, organized as VBR Holdings LLC, according to commercial real estate website vizzda.com.

The land is zoned for general commercial.

The plan calls for a 12,500-square-foot retail building, plus 1,600-square-foot garden center. The lot would have 83 parking spaces.

A design review request for the building from original owner Evergreen Development Company was studied by the Gilbert Planning Commission at its May 4 public meeting.

The architect is Robert Des Rosiers of Form Third.

The land is north of the intersection, where the south side is the Verde at Cooley Station development that is under construction for a fall opening.
