Stephanie Kaye becomes headmaster at Great Hearts Archway Cicero

Great Hearts Academies names Stephanie Kaye as new headmaster of kindergarten through fifth grade at Great Hearts Archway Cicero.

Heading into the 2021-22 school year, Kaye will oversee kindergarten through fifth grade as the Archway headmaster of Great Hearts Archway Cicero, according to a press release, adding Alex Julian will continue to run grades 6-12 as the headmaster of Great Hearts Cicero Prep.

Great Hearts Archway Cicero Academy, 7205 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale, has 525 students in K-5 and Great Hearts Cicero Preparatory Academy has nearly 500 students in grades 6-12, the release said.

Previously, Kaye was the Dean of Students at Great Hearts Archway Arete.

“It is a true gift to be given the opportunity to serve at Great Hearts Archway Cicero and bring classical education to the community where I raised my children,” said Kaye in the release.

“Classical education is at the core of what we do at Great Hearts and is key to cultivating the minds of our students. I am looking forward to a bright future with Archway Cicero.”

An Arizona native, Kaye began her Great Hearts career as a second- through fifth-grade music teacher at Arete in Gilbert, and in 2020 served as interim headmaster at Great Hearts Archway Trivium West for several months.

She earned her bachelor's of arts in music education with an emphasis in vocal performance at Grand Canyon University.  She is in a master’s program at Holy Apostles College and Seminary studying for her degree in Moral Theology, noted the release.

“Stephanie Kaye is a great addition to Great Hearts Archway Cicero,” said Great Hearts Arizona President Erik Twist in the release. “For seven years, Stephanie has shown her dedication with our young scholars. Her unique experience and skillset will be a great example to lead our next generation of students.”

Earlier this year, Great Hearts announced expansion plans. The network of tuition-free public nonprofit charter schools will open additional locations in Buckeye,  as well as San Antonio, and Fort Worth, Texas. In August 2022, it will expand its Anthem Preparatory campus in Arizona.

Great Hearts Academies has no entry or testing requirements to enroll. The schools accept any student who applies as long as a seat is available.
