Scottsdale police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting. The incident happened around 11 a.m. Friday near Via Linda and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

Scottsdale police investigate fatal shooting of teenager

Scottsdale police are investigating after one person was killed in a shooting.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, near Via Linda and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

On Twitter, police said they responded to a shooting call at a residence. A teenage boy was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  He was later pronounced dead.

Police said there is no threat to the surrounding area.

Police stated there are no outstanding suspects and that detectives recovered the involved handgun at the residence.

Detectives are interviewing family members that were home at the time of the incident.  The investigation is ongoing.
