Charlene Costanzo — best-selling, award-winning author of The Twelve Gifts collection of eight books — will be the guest speaker during the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers monthly Zoom meeting.

Early sign in is recommended for the meeting to be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, according to a press release from the  Scottsdale Society of Women Writers.

The group offers members access to events, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers and authors, an alliance with professionals relating to writing, publishing, and marketing books, camaraderie and support.

Ms. Costanzo --- through her books as well as speeches, spiritual retreats and experiential events --- encourages people to better see, cultivate, and use their inner gifts of “strength, beauty, courage, compassion, hope, joy, talent, imagination reverence, wisdom, love, and faith,” the release said.

Her recently published The Twelve Gifts from the Garden: Life Lessons for Peace and Well-Being is the eighth book in her Twelve Gifts collection, which includes her bestselling, award-winning book, The Twelve Gifts of Birth, along with The Twelve Gifts for Healing, The Twelve Gifts in Marriage, The Thirteenth Gift, Touchstones: Stories for Living the Twelve Gifts, Opening the Twelve Gifts: A Touchstone Sampler and A Perfect Name.

Ms Costanzo will relate highlights from publishing The Twelve Gifts of Birth independently and promoting it throughout the US by moving into a motor home and traveling the lower 48 for a year, noted the release.

Her highlights included the opportunity to discuss The Twelve Gifts message with thousands of children and adults while visiting schools, shelters, churches, libraries, bookstores, prisons and facilities like Boys Town and Covenant House; being filmed for an Oprah show segment, selling 297,000 books in little over a year, and having the book auctioned among 10 major publishers, with rights going to HarperCollins for a six-figure amount.

After sharing her experiences, Ms. Costanzo will focus on: Living the Twelve Gifts in 2021 as Women Writers: Nurturing Hope and Making a Difference with Our Messages. Awards for The Twelve Gifts of Birth include the Scotty from the Scottsdale Library and three Glyphs from the Arizona Book Publishing Association, the release added.
