Annual ranking highlights top spots to eat around the U.S.

Four Valley restaurants were part of the annual OpenTable listing of the top 100 restaurants in the U.S.

Scottsdale landed three sites — Cafe Monarch in Old Town, Ocean 44 near Scottsdale Fashion Square, and Dominick's Steakhouse at Scottsdale Quarter. Phoenix had the other location on the list, Steak 44 in the central part of town.

The OpenTable list is created from identifying the best spots from more than 10.5 million reviews  of restaurants across the country. OpenTable is a restaurant review and reservation site that focuses on more upscale dining.

The annual list skipped last year during the pandemic, but returned to again showcase the top spots according to its users.

Ocean 44, Steak 44 and Dominick's are all the properties of restaurateurs Jeffrey and Michael Mastro, who along with their partners have launched a series of the concepts in high-profile locations around the U.S.
