Scottsdale mall to hold annual back-to-school fashion show

Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback Road., will help students go back to school looking their best with a fashion show from 12-3 p.m. in the Palm Court on Aug. 7.

Shoppers can enjoy activities including a fashion show featuring the hottest styles, beauty bars and style stations, plus a “once-in-a-lifetime modeling opportunity, according to a press release.

A DJ will be spinning the latest beats while shoppers see the latest styles during a runway fashion show at 1 and 2 p.m. from Psycho Bunny, Levi’s, Knee Deep Denim, Tumi, Buckle, Zumiez and more. The shows will be complemented by beauty bars and style stations from Dillard’s and Henna Shoppe, the release said.

The FORD/Robert Black Agency is holding an open call model and actor search for ages 5 years and up. Scouting all genders, races and sizes, no experience is necessary.

During the open call, parents and students will have the chance to hear from industry veteran Matt Englehart who will share insight on the world of acting and on-camera work in the Valley and beyond, added the release.

Also, Sheree Harwell, owner of the agency will discuss the ins and outs of the industry, while New Faces Director Adam Hays talks about the ever-changing social media influence on the fashion industry and Kids Director Sheena Adams shares more about local market opportunities for children, according to the release.
