Scottsdale Charros announce 69th Annual Scottsdale Parada Del Sol parade
Family-friendly Trail’s End Festival follows parade on Feb. 4, 2023

The Scottsdale Charros has announced that the 69th Annual Scottsdale Parada Del Sol Historic Parade and Trail’s End Festival will take place throughout Old Town Scottsdale on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, beginning at 10 a.m.
Following the traditional parade, the Trail’s End Festival will take over Scottsdale’s Historic District from noon to 4 p.m., according to a press release.
This will serve as the second event managed by the Scottsdale Charros since the organization took helm of this long-running Scottsdale tradition in 2021.
“We are thrilled to bring the Scottsdale Parada Del Sol Historic Parade and Trail’s End Festival back to Scottsdale in 2023,” said Scottsdale Charro Joe Deka, who serves as the 2023 Parada Boss. “Part of our plan in running this event has been to continue to make it an even better and more well-rounded experience for all Valley residents and visitors.”

The Scottsdale Parada Del Sol Historic Parade is one of the longest-running community events in the city and the Scottsdale Charros’ leadership of the parade originally began in the 1950s. In addition to initially managing the parade, the Scottsdale Charros have been riding in the parade for nearly as long as it has been in existence.
When regaining management of the parade in 2021, the Scottsdale Charros committed to making the parade even bigger and better in an effort to be able to raise as much money as possible for the community, the press release stated. The Charros could not do this without the hard work of its Community Committee, which is dedicated to executing a safe, fun, vibrant community-minded event.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, the parade — which typically includes approximately 150 entries including colorful floats, mounted horse-riders, horse-drawn carriage, marching bands, wagons and stagecoaches representing many cultures from Mexican to Native American to Arabian to Western — follows a route from Drinkwater Boulevard along Scottsdale Road and culminates at Brown Avenue and Indian School Road.
The Trail’s End Festival then takes place immediately following, turning Scottsdale’s historic Old Town district into a day-long family friendly Western-themed street party featuring a kids’ zone, food trucks, beverage vendors, merchandise, arts and crafts booth, and multiple stages with live entertainment including concerts from today’s popular bands as well as traditional performers.
Additional event details and complete entertainment lineup will be available soon via scottsdaleparade.com for more information.
