Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts presents “Under The Jello Mold,” one-woman show that features discussions surrounding grief and humor.

Shows will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday; 2-7 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, between Sept. 23-26, according to a press release, describing the award-winning, one-woman comic play.

Jennie Fahn revisits her very colorful character of a mother during what happened to be the final act of her mother’s life, the release said, detailing how Jennie’s mother was a former dancer who was never content to rehash her past.

However, there was always a story to be embellished, a name to drop, and a lesson to teach. This comedy showcases love, loss, and being of sound mind and body, noted the release of the mom who hid her post-mortem instructions in a specific spot that also hid a secret.

“Under The Jello Mold” is a hilarious 80-minute, “fast-paced, roller-coaster piece of theater” and moving story about the end of the mother’s life.

The show contains mature language and themes and is for ages 16 and up, the release added.
