Scottsdale Arts announces additional cancellations, postponements

Scottsdale Arts has announced additional cancellations and postponements in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those experiencing additional cancellations and postponements include Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Scottsdale Public Art, according to a press release.

Due to the COVID-19 response, the center and SMoCA are closed to the public until at least April 5. The terms of these closures are subject to change based on input from federal, state and local public health authorities.

The following Scottsdale Arts events joined those previously announced. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts additional cancellations and postponements include:

  • Jazz Lounge: Charles Lewis Quartet featuring Alice Tatum on March 29 is postponed;
  • International Jazz Day Arizona on April 4 is canceled;
  • Marc Cohn on April 15 is postponed; and
  • Scottsdale Culinary Festival on April 18 is canceled.

At the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, the following cancellations and postponement are in place:

  • Spun Chair Nights @SMoCA, which would have ran from March 19 to April 4, is canceled;
  • Dog Days @SMoCA on April 4 is postponed; and
  • SMoCA in the Studio with Fausto Fernandez on April 4 is canceled.

Cycle the Arts, originally scheduled for April 4, will also be postponed, a release states. For regular updates on closures and cancellations, please visit ScottsdaleArts.org/notices.
