Girl About Town is hosting a Summer Warehouse Sale for school supplies Saturday, July 30 from 8 a.m–4 p.m. at its (air conditioned) warehouse in Scottsdale near WestWorld at 90th Street and Bell Road, 16801 N. 90th Street.
All of the donations collected at the event will go to the Pearce Family Foundation’s main initiative, Angels Around Us of AZ, a press release stated. The Pearce Family Foundation is a nonprofit charity that exists to provide needed financial assistance to families with a child facing a chronic or life-threatening illness.
It is free to attend and shop, but attendees are asked to bring school supplies to help families in need as they are preparing to send their kids back to school. There will be food, a DJ and bounce house at the event.
More than 30 local businesses and individuals have been gathered to sell their new or gently used items for a good cause. The organization is also collecting school supplies to help the families in need.
“I am so excited to see the community come together for a fun day of shopping, music, food and a great cause,” Meghan Alfonso, founder of Girl About Town and the Pearce Family Foundation, said in the release.
