School, spring sport and position/event: Saguaro, Baseball, Second Base
Awards or recognitions you’ve received while playing in high school: 2019 Region Honorable Mention
How long have you been playing your sport? 13 Years
Why did you choose to play your sport? Because I love playing baseball more than anything, just being out there whether I’m playing well or not. A bad day of baseball is better than a good day of school.
What is your favorite personal sports memory from your playing career? The entire 2019 season.
Who has impacted you the most along your sports journey? Why? Coach Muecke, he has developed me into the person I am on the field and helped me grow as a man and person off the field. He has pushed me and every one of my teammates to be the best version of ourselves to our family, friends, teammates, coaches, significant others, etc.
What are you going to miss most about high school sports? All the little things, being out there on the field everyday with your best friends. They say there’s nothing like high school sports and it’s true. Everyday was special whether it was a game or practice, nothing can beat it.
What comes next for you after high school? I will be attending Pacific University of Oregon to play baseball.
What advice would you give to the underclassmen? Enjoy it, don’t take anything for granted because there are people out there that wish they could play baseball and we are lucky enough to be able to do it everyday. Days go slow and years go fast so soak it in.
