• Your Name: Tedee Berez

• Town/Neighborhood: I live in Scottsdale and tutor in Arcadia as well

• Hours of operation: Flexible

• Professional background highlights: Masters in learning disabilities

• What I do: Teach and tutor

• What I like most about doing business here: Thirty years of my career were spent teaching at Ingleside Middle School. I left in 2006, yet, to this day, I still run into students whom I taught there that still remember me and that is a fantastic feeling.

• What am I promoting: Tutoring, one-to-one, to help students retain and add to what they have learned.

• What I’m excited about and why: Returning to in person instruction has been wonderful! I missed my students.

• Favorite community cause and why: Wounded Warriors and animal charities.

• When and why I started my business/employment here: My teaching career began in 1976. Through teaching and tutoring, I have met amazing children and wonderful parents.

• My family: I have two grown children. My son is a paramedic/firefighter and my daughter teaches first grade.

• My interests & hobbies: I have two dogs, three cats, and a very opinionated cockatoo.

• My guiding philosophy: Before making a judgment, I try to see things from the other people’s perspective (walk a mile in their shoes).

• My advice to today’s youth: Make good choices, actions have consequences.
