Keller Williams Arizona Realty gives scholarship to SCC student

Keller Williams Arizona Realty presented a $500 scholarship for real estate to Samantha House, a student at Scottsdale Community College, during a real estate job fair held at the College’s Business School on Saturday, Sept. 17.
Samantha submitted her qualifying application and it was chosen as the winner among several entries by a committee consisting of representatives from both Scottsdale Community College and Keller Williams Arizona Realty, according to a press release.
David Morse, CEO/team lead at Keller Williams Arizona Realty, said this scholarship offers diversity students a measure of encouragement and assistance in the pursuit of their real estate career.
“Keller Williams as a company highly values diversity,” Morse said in the release. “We truly live our belief system, and it promotes equity opportunities for all. We are excited for Samantha as she continues her journey in real estate education and the real estate industry.”
The Keller Williams Arizona Realty Scholarship criteria include the following:
Preference to a member of an underrepresented group in real estate, such as Indigenous, Hispanic, Black, other (person with a disability, LGBTQIA+)
Financial need as demonstrated in their essay
Qualified for in-county tuition
Enrolled in Scottsdale Community College’s Real Estate: Prelicense Certificate of Completion program, which includes REA201 and REA290AH
Eligible to legally become a licensed real estate agent in Arizona according to Arizona Department of Real Estate regulations located at azre.gov/licensees/original-licensing-information
Preference given to students who reside in Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert
