Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market has new pop-up store

Posted

After hosting a successful two-month holiday pop-up storefront at Scottsdale Quarter, Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market has opened another pop-up store two doors down from the previous location.

The Market at Scottsdale Quarter is again providing a fully-curated retail experience, featuring a collection of handmade artisans, local shops and vintage curators, according to a press release. Open daily from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. through April, The Market has a different concept than the previous pop-up.

Various small businesses are still represented, but instead of having individual booths, it is one cohesive storefront curated and merchandised by the team at Junk in the Trunk, the release said of The Market at Scottsdale Quarter, 15059 N. Scottsdale Rd, Suite H 1-170.

“Our pop-up market at the Scottsdale Quarter was such a huge success,” said Lindsey Holt, co-founder of Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, in a prepared statement. “We are excited to be able to continue to offer people a place to shop from a collection of creatively curated vintage, artisan-made, and other goods from local small businesses.”

Junk in the Trunk Market, a semi-annual shopping experience is a popular attraction of its kind in the southwest, but canceled its 2020 Scottsdale Markets due to COVID-19. The pop-up storefronts allow people to shop for the one-of-a-kind items for which Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market is known in a smaller, intimate setting.

“We are thrilled to be able to continue supporting small businesses while offering people our one-of-a-kind shopping experience,” said Coley Arnold, co-founder of Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, in a prepared statement. “Our new store is smaller, but still has over 25 amazing small businesses featuring handmade artisans, local shops and vintage curators.”

Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market began as a small backyard market in 2011 and has welcomed over 225,000 shoppers through its doors across Arizona and California. Through this outlet, the founders have supported more than 2,500 small businesses.

The Market has long partnered with local Young Life chapters to send high school and junior high kids to camp, as well as other non-profits for the greater good, noted the release.

If unable to visit the storefront, Junk in the Trunk has an online marketplace featuring over 80 vendors so people can shop from home.
