Hall of fame: Scottsdale’s Brian Dygert honored for equestrian work

Brian Dygert, Scottsdale’s general manager at WestWorld, is being inducted into the League of Agricultural and Equine Centers Hall of Fame, the league announced on Jan. 3.

The induction ceremony will take place at the 2022 Annual League Symposium in Austin, Texas. Dygert was a co-founder of the league and has been a leader in Equine Facility management for nearly three decades, according to a press release.

His service to the league included serving on the board of directors for 14 years, served as the chair of the board, assisted in the development of the League Footing Academy, assisted in the development of the a professional certification in partnership with Middle Tennessee State University titled the “Certified Manager of Equine Centers”, led the board in the hiring of professional administrative staff to grow the organization, hosted Footing Academies, the Annual Symposium and recruited some of the first corporate League sponsors.

WestWorld was awarded the 2020 Facility of the Year award by the league, emblematic of his leadership and continued contributions to the Equine Facility Management Industry.

The Induction into the LAEC Hall of Fame will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, at the Holiday Inn Town Lake, Austin, Texas, the site of the 2022 LAEC Annual Symposium.
