The slap-stick comedy, Footlight Frenzy will be performed at 7:30 p.m., Thursdays-Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays, through March 22 at Fountain Hills Theater, 11445 N Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills.

Footlight Frenzy is by Ron House, Alan Shearman, Diz White, Bud Slocumb, Mark Blankenfield, Brandie Kemp, and Mitchell Kreindel, according to a press release.

The comic and desperate attempt to save a bankrupt “School for Unusual Children,” is described  in the release, detailing  an inexperienced PTA group said to mount an ambitious benefit play, written by a has-been Broadway director whose near-hysterical direction and the group’s questionable talent turn the production into a shambles.

The scenes shift back and forth from the real tribulations of the performers to the play they are “performing,” the release said.

Produced by Meghan Ramos and directed by Peter J. Hill and Noel Irick, Footlight Frenzy stars Alex Gonzalez, Peter J. Hill, Estee Oglesbee, Deborah Ostreicher, Rob Stuart and Daniel Tanner.

The play is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Individual tickets are $35 for adults and $18 for youth 17 and under, the release noted.

Seniors receive a $5 discount on all Thursday performances. Group rate discounts are available. Veteran and active duty discounts, according to the release.

All performances are at Fountain Hills Theater on its Mainstage Too at 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd.

Tickets are available through the Theater Box Office at 480-837-9661 ext. 3 or by visiting fhtaz.org. Box Office hours are 12-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
