Dalumpinis comes to The Living Room DC Ranch in Scottsdale
Posted
The Living Room cafe and lounge recently announced a new executive chef, Jesus “BJ” Dalumpinis, at the DC Ranch location.
A “desire to innovate in the kitchen,” Dalumpinis has an extensive culinary background, according to a press release.
Joining the company’s executive chef Christopher George, the duo created nine fresh menu items to introduce an elevated dining experience at The Living Room at 20751 N Pima Road.in Scottsdale. The new menu launches on June 14th, all current menu favorites remain in place.
Dalumpinis was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and moved to Arizona in his teens. Encouraged by his grandmother, he enrolled in the Scottsdale Culinary Institute and graduated in 2007, the release said.
Noting he spent the last decade with Roy’s, he worked his way up the ladder to become a chef partner at Roy’s Chandler.
“It’s been great working with such a passionate and energetic team, and I am looking forward to sharing my creativity and ‘Terrior to Table’ Style of cooking with our diners,” said Dalumpinis in a prepared statement.
Earlier in the year, the cafe and lounge doubled the size of its kitchen and has evolved from being a neighborhood place to connect with people to the addition of chef-inspired starters and entrés. These new selections compliment the wine program curated by Tom Kaufman, owner and sommelier, added the release.
The Living Room opens at 11 a.m. for lunch and the night menu begins at 5 pm, Monday – Friday. Weekend brunch starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, featuring live music on Sunday.
