Beer fans will appreciate the Inaugural Morning Beer Festival to be held, starting at 10 a.m.,  Saturday, Oct. 23 on the polo fields at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Presented by Talking Stick Resort invites polo-goers, according to a press release, to experience a “specially selected collection of six stouts, sours, porters, ales and others on tap at the west-end of The Scottsdale Polo Party.”

Among the local craft beers on tap:

  • The Beer Shop’s Neonic with Orange Julius
  • Dreams (Sour Ale)
  • Four Peaks’ Pumpkin Porter
  • Mudshark Morning Buzz Coffee (Stout)
  • Rogue’s Hazelnut Brown Nectar (Brown Ale)
  • Dechutes’ Black Butte (Porter)
  • Founder’s Breakfast Stout.

Guests will have the option of purchasing pints, or flights of three or six beers, the release said, noting additional accompaniments like bacon, ham or assortment of meats will be available upon request.

The local and top-rated craft beers range in alcohol content from 5.1% to 8.3%. Guests of the Morning Beer Festival will need a polo ticket to attend and can enjoy the full event. Gates will open just before 10 a.m. to accommodate the Morning Beer festivities.

The Morning Beer Festival is just one of several new additions this year as Scottsdale’s most attended polo event in the country celebrates its 10 year anniversary, noted the release.
