Arizona Tiki Oasis, happening April 23-25 at the Hotel Valley Ho, 6850 E. Main St. in Scottsdale has two events  open to the public for locals to enjoy.

Although a smaller capacity than in 2019 and sold out event tickets, the Arizona Tiki Oasis, an island lifestyle meet-up “at one of the best-preserved Mid-Century hotels in America ― Hotel Valley Ho,” there will be a wide range of resort activities from sipping tropical cocktails to wearing festive aloha wear and masks.

The various curated and socially distanced experiences, according to a press release include sip crafted cocktails by top mixologists, a curated pop-up Art Show, relaxing in a cabana by the pool, getting a soothing spa treatment, dancing to the Tiki Oasis soundtrack and shopping the outdoor marketplace with various artists, makers and traders and more.

Arizona Tiki Oasis benefits Arizona Preservation Foundation, the release said, noting events that will be open to the public following capacity, social distancing, and masks requirements at all times.

  • Arizona Tiki Oasis Marketplace
Arizona Tiki Oasis is the crossroads of the Tiki world with crafters, artists, tinkerers, and traders hauling their wares to the Hotel Valley Ho, creating an Exotica emporium unmatched throughout the world, featuring over 40 marketplace vendors and more from Princess Madison Designs to WillyTikis, slated 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25
  • Arizona Tiki Oasis Art Show
Third Annual Arizona Tiki Oasis Pop-Up Art Exhibit curated by Tiki Oasis co-founder and event coordinator Baby Doe. Featuring over 20 top international Tiki artists, this pop-up exhibit will be open to the public all weekend long from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday April 23 through Sunday April 25 with featured artists including Atomikitty, Benjamin Burch, BigToe Art,and more.

Southern California’s family-run Tiki Oasis started in 2001 as a fundraiser to support the rehabilitation of the Palm Springs Caliente Tropics Motel. The Tropics was the most elaborate of a chain of five California Tropics Tiki motels, and an important part of Tiki history. The event moved to San Diego in 2006 to support the historic Bali Hai Restaurant and Hanalei Hotel.

Now, Tiki Oasis is the original and largest Tiki event in the world, featuring five nights and four days of live music, dance, DJs, vendors, fashion show, poolside entertainment, car show, kids' activities, art exhibit, plus top experts giving educational presentations.

Its sister event, Arizona Tiki Oasis debuted in 2019 and “brings the island lifestyle to the desert in full Mid-Century glory,” the release stated.
