A "pop-up” COVID-19 vaccination event is being held from 2 to 8 p.m., Sept. 8-9 at Abrazo Scottsdale Campus, 3929 E. Bell Road, Phoenix.

Abrazo Health is partnering with Maricopa County and DocGo to host the COVID-19 vaccination pop-up event, according to a press release.

Walk-ins or appointments are accepted at the Abrazo Scottsdale Campus Vaccination Clinic, with no insurance or ID required. Boosters will be available for those who are immunocompromised per CDC recommendations.

The COVID-19 Delta variant is highly transmissible from person-to-person, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that pregnant women, and those planning pregnancy, get vaccinated against COVID-19, the release said.

More than 95% of patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in the U.S. are unvaccinated, according to the CDC.

Unvaccinated people are reportedly more likely to:

  • Be sicker for longer
  • Be hospitalized with COVID-19
  • Have a higher mortality

Pfizer, Moderna and John & Johnson vaccines will be offered at no charge. Walk-ins are welcome, and appointments are available by calling 646-755-9951; or register at app.rrtesting.com/en/#/registration.
