The cardiopulmonary resuscitation class provides training on how to respond during cardiac arrest; immediate administration of CPR can save a life. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call to action. The class provides training on how to quickly stop the loss of blood.
The CPR class is 9 a.m. to noon and Stop the Bleed is noon- 2 p.m. Jan. 18.
Both classes will be held at the Law Enforcement and Community Chambers Building, 20727 E. Civic Parkway. Registration is required go to QueenCreek.org/CPR to reserve your spot; space is limited.
The three-hour, hands-on CPR course is open to residents 13 and older. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably. The certification is provided through American Safety & Health Institute; the certificate is good for two years. Healthcare certifications will not be offered. There is no age restriction for Stop the Bleed training.
"Please remember if you register for a spot and do not attend, that takes away from someone else in the community who could complete these important lifesaving classes.
