Starbucks partners with nonprofit to raise suicide awareness

Posted

Solari Crisis & Human Services, formerly the Crisis Response Network, has partnered with East Valley Starbucks stories to raise awareness of the organization’s services to prevent suicides.

On Friday, Sept. 24, from 7 to 11 a.m., Solari staff members will provide Suicide Prevention information and resources at multiple East Valley Starbucks locations. Please visit info.solari-inc.org/starbucks for a list and the addresses of participating locations.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Per the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States and more than 47,000 Americans died by suicide in 2019.

Tempe-based Solari Crisis & Human Services receives an average of 25,000 calls per month to the 24/7/365 Crisis Lines. The nonprofit organization operates in Central and Northern Arizona. For detailed information, visit the Solari Crisis Lines dashboard.
