Races this weekend at Arizona Speedway

The Ninth Annual John Morris Classic is May 29-30 at Arizona Speedway, 48700 N. Ironwood Drive. It is within ET Motopark, 5 miles south of U.S. Highway 60 in Apache Junction.

“SWDRA Super Late Models and IMCA Modifieds will both challenge a pair of $1,000 to win main events over the weekend with IMCA Sport Mods and IMCA stock cars paying $500 to win each night,” according to a release. “Bombers round out the weekend’s card and will race for $250 to win each night with San Tan Ford adding a $200 two-day sweep bonus to all divisions. Please join us this weekend to celebrate the life of a racer, father and husband along with honoring those that gave their all while serving in the armed forces.”

There will be practice 7:30-10 p.m. Friday, May 28, with a cost of $25 for pit admission, kids $10.

Racing begins at 7:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., front gates open at 6 p.m.

Daily tickets are $20 for adults, kids are free. Discounted two-day tickets available online only for $30. Pit passes are $35 for adults, $10 kids, with kids 5 and under free.
