Queen Creek’s Trunk or Treat will be a month-long celebration

Posted

Queen Creek’s Trunk or Treat will be a month-long celebration with unique opportunities for the community to participate. Businesses are encouraged to help spread the fall spirit by hosting a hay bale.

"Hay QC" is a free fall activity for businesses and the community. Businesses sign up to host a hay bale, decorate it and display it outside. The Town of Queen Creek will provide a Hay QC map and residents can enjoy the decorated bales throughout the month of October, according to a release.

Take a photo or a selfie with the decorated hay bales and post online using #HayQC. Visit the Queen Creek Recreation Annex with posted photos for free candy.

Hay QC business applications are due Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Applications require a concept of how the hay bale will be decorated (must be family friendly and displayed outside). Hay bales are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Hay bales will be delivered on Sept. 23 and the bales must be displayed from Oct. 1-31. The hay bales will be collected on Nov. 2.

"Hay QC" is just one of many opportunities for the community to celebrate Trunk or Treat. From a house decorating contest, to a pumpkin and costume contest (for humans and pets), go to  QueenCreek.org/TrunkorTreat for all the fun.

For more details about Hay QC or other elements of the Town’s Trunk or Treat celebration, go to QueenCreek.org/TrunkorTreat. View the Hay QC map beginning Oct. 5 at QueenCreek.org/HayQC. Participate in the fun by following the Town at Facebook @QueenCreek, Twitter @TownofQC and Instagram @TownofQueenCreek.
