Queen Creek Town Council recognizes 3 local residents as 'Great Neighbors'

Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney and the Town Council recognized three Great Neighbors at the Oct. 16 council meeting.

Nate Knight was nominated for bringing his neighborhood together. Known as "neighborhood Nate," he organizes block parties and activities to help neighbors get to know one another, according to a release. See a video here.

Ally and Lizzy Small were nominated for their selfless contributions to the community. Instead of gifts for their birthdays, they gather items to donate to organizations such as Cardon Children’s Hospital and the library at their elementary school, according to the release. See a video here.

"Nate, Ally and Lizzy are true examples of being QC Neighborly,” Mayor  Barney said in the release. "Queen Creek is lucky to have so many fantastic people continuing to make our community a great place to live, play and learn.”

The Great Neighbor program is designed to recognize residents who go out of their way to improve and enhance the quality of life in the community, the release states.

The town is accepting nominations for the next set of Great Neighbors to be recognized at the Feb. 5 Town Council meeting. To nominate a neighbor, go to QueenCreek.org/GreatNeighbor.
