Queen Creek students honored by Kiwanis Club
Posted
Every month of the school year, the Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek presents students from area junior and senior high schools with our Student of the Month Awards.
The students are selected by teachers, with each school using whatever criteria they choose to make their selection.
Sometimes it may be based solely on academics, or it may be the student who is most improved, or it may be based just on a great attitude and citizenship.
The awards are given at a Kiwanis meeting to which the parents are also invited. Each student receives a certificate, as well as a gift card to a local restaurant and to Harkins Theatre.
The most recent awards ceremony took place Jan. 18 at the Queen Creek Unified School District Office.
