Queen Creek pushes effort to support local businesses

Posted

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to impact communities, Queen Creek is working to identify additional ways to support local businesses.

Cooler weather means expanded opportunities for outdoor seating for restaurants in atypical settings, while maintaining physical distancing. To ensure expanded dining settings meet safety requirements, restaurants interested in this opportunity can submit a temporary-use permit and the town will waive the applicable fees.

Queen Creek also continues to offer a Small Business Support grant to reimburse businesses for costs incurred in connection with enhanced sanitization, employee safety and customer safety. Visit InvestTheQC.com/Together to apply.

Additional efforts include waiving business license fees and renewals, a marketing partnership with Hownd and the relaxing of sign regulations for businesses and homebuilders.
