New weekly coronavirus cases in Litchfield Park up slightly


The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the number of new weekly coronavirus cases in Litchfield Park 85340 was 28 slightly more than the 25 reported last Friday.

That brings the number of cases reported in the ZIP code to 3,856.

The ZIP code includes the city of Litchfield Park and unincorporated Maricopa County. The state does not separate cases by incorporated and unincorporated areas.

As of May 5, Maricopa County health officials reported that more than 38% of all residents and nearly 50% of residents 15 and older had received at least one dose, and 45% of doses administered completed that resident’s COVID-19 vaccine series.

According to the website, 2,945,969 vaccine doses had been administered in Maricopa County. Of those, 1,603,543 were first dose, 1,324,681 were second dose and 17,745 were unknown.

In Litchfield Park 85340, 57.7% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 46% had received their second dose.
