Meet Your Neighbor: Paleontologist Soler owner of Jurassic Landscape and Hardscape Design

Your name: Jose and Amie Soler, husband and wife team.

Business name: Jurassic Landscape and Hardscape Design

Town/neighborhood: Queen Creek

Hours of operation: All year-round

Personal background highlights: Jose is a paleontologist from Costa Rica who before opening his own company was at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles for eight years. Amie is from the country music industry as an artist and most recently a co-host and associate producer of the highly popular morning show at Go Country 105.

Professional background highlights: As a paleontologist with a bachelor of science with a major in management of natural resources, Jose is very qualified in all things nature and has a deep respect for the Earth. Further, coming from Costa Rica with a European background, he has an eye for design and enjoys working with his clients to create the perfect outdoor space.

What I do: We design and install front yards and backyards in new and existing homes. Everything from turf, pavers, fireplaces, water features and of course all landscape needs.

What I like most about doing business here: A lot of people in Queen Creek are from other places just moving into the area and it’s been nice to meet other families in similar situations as ours. The town is growing so fast and we’ve been honored to help families finish off their home with creating a beautiful and livable space for them in their yard. We take our job seriously and we want to be someone our clients can rely on and someone they can feel confident recommending to their friends.

What am I promoting: Our company, Jurassic Landscape and Hardscape Design

What I’m excited about and why: We’re excited to see how Queen Creek will continue to grow and succeed in the coming years. Growth in our community means our business will continue to flourish and hopefully other companies in Queen Creek will too. It’s a great town and we’re so happy to be here.

When and why I started my business/employment here: We have family in Arizona and we wanted to be closer to them. Also, the growth in Queen Creek was very attractive to us. The city is clean and safe the people are friendly.

My family: We have two small children under 2 years old. Lord help us -haha-

People who inspire me (and how): Our kids inspire us every day to work hard and be an example for them. They teach us to be present in the moment and find joy in the little thing’s, especially in nature!

My guiding philosophy: Treat others how you’d like to be treated.

My advice to today’s youth: Find something you love then figure out how to make a living at it.
