Loop 101 Price Freeway road closures and restrictions slated

One lane of the northbound Price Freeway will be closed at various times Jan. 2-5 between Ray and Warner roads, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Closures, according to a release, include:

  • 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, to 5 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3;
  • 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, to 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4; and
  • 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, to 6 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 5.

Drivers on the Loop 101 Price Freeway in Chandler, Tempe and Mesa should prepare to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment, the release states.

Other closures include:

  • The northbound Price Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes between Ray and Warner roads nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning on Sunday, Jan. 5, and continuing through the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 7.
  • The southbound Price Freeway on-ramp at Baseline Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6.
  • The southbound Price Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes between Baseline and Guadalupe roads from 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6.
  • The southbound Price Freeway off-ramp at Chandler Boulevard will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6.
  • The southbound Price Freeway will be narrowed to two lanes overnight between Chandler Boulevard and Loop 202 Santan Freeway from 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6.
  • The southbound Loop 101 exit to southbound Price Road will be closed. Consider exiting at Chandler Boulevard and using the southbound Price Road frontage road.
  • The ramp from the eastbound US 60 Superstition Freeway to the southbound Price Freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, to 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6. Eastbound US 60 drivers can use southbound McClintock Drive to return to the freeway via eastbound Guadalupe Road.
  • The southbound Price Freeway off-ramp at Guadalupe Road remains closed until 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6.
  • The northbound Price Freeway on-ramp at Ray Road and off-ramp at Warner Road remain closed until 5 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16.
  • The southbound Price Freeway on-ramp at Guadalupe Road and off-ramp at Elliot Road will be closed starting at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, and will remain closed around the clock until 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Drivers should use the southbound Baseline Road exit to the Price Road frontage road as an alternate route.

ADOT’s Price Freeway improvement project is adding one new travel lane in each direction along the Price Freeway between Baseline Road and the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway).

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
