J.O. Combs Unified School District seeking community photos

Posted

Students, parents, families, alumni, business owners and community members are being sought to take part in a social media campaign to collect community photos. They will be used to create a mosaic for the new J.O. Combs Unified School District office, scheduled to open in January 2020.

The campaign ends Dec. 31. In order to participate, all community members have to do is take photos on their public Instagram or Twitter account and post them using #WeAreCombs. When the campaign ends, all of the photos will be assembled into a large scale mosaic that will be displayed in the Governing Board room of the new District Office, according to a release.

"It is truly the support of our community that made the construction of our new office possible, and it is only fitting that the character of our community is represented and displayed through this giant mosaic," Dr. Greg Wyman, superintendent, said in the release. "We encourage everyone to join us in this exciting campaign, and to share your photos and Combs pride with us."
