Aaron and Jared Pool, the brothers and owners behind the Gadzooks Enchiladas and Soup in midtown Phoenix, Arcadia and Tempe, are opening their fast-casual Mexican restaurant in Chandler.

Opening at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at 290 S. Arizona Ave., it's housed inside a stylish space at the intersection of Arizona Ave. and Frye Street in downtown Chandler. Fans can line up early on opening day, and 10 people in line will win free enchiladas for a year, according to  release.

Gadzooks Chandler is a 2,200-square-foot restaurant, not including the outdoor dining patio which will be able to seat around 30 guests for an al fresco dining experience.

The new location features Gadzook's signature modern look, including concrete block construction, orange furnishings and colorful accents, and a bright, airy indoor-outdoor layout, the release states.

Tucked behind the service counter, Gadzooks towering gas-fired wood stone oven will be quick-cooking their build-you- own tacos, enchiladas, soups --- all fully customizable with Modelo braised bison, sweet and spicy cornbread, honey vinegar slaw, pickled onions, hand-hacked guacamole, etc. Plus, there are house-made Osborn Oro margaritas, Wren House Beer from the Pools' brother Drew, fresh baked cookies and more, the release states.

Aaron Pool says the new Chandler location would cater to new groups of customers, including families in the East Valley. Mr. Pool says, "Gadzooks is a fun, casual family friendly environment perfect for all ages, and we're excited to serve new fans in Chandler."

Gadzooks Chandler will be serving lunch and dinner seven days a week. For more information regarding Gadzooks, go to gadzooksaz.com.
