Avelo Airlines offers new nonstop service between Gateway Airport and Burbank

Posted

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport will have a new airline with daily travel to and from Hollywood Burbank Airport in California beginning May 3.

Avelo Airlines will offer everyday low fares coupled with a smooth and convenient travel experience, flying non-stop unserved routes between BUR and 11 destinations across the Western U.S., according to a release.

Flights are open for booking at aveloair.com with current availability through Sept. 15.

“Avelo has a simple purpose — to inspire travel,” Avelo founder, chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said in the release. “People are ready to reconnect with family and friends and explore new places. Avelo is a different and better kind of airline, built from scratch to offer an affordable, convenient and caring travel experience.”

The airline will initially operate single-class, fuel-efficient 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is operated by the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. PMGAA consists of representation from Apache Junction, Mesa, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Gila River Indian Community and Phoenix.
