Arizona House candidate Dr. Hunter featured speaker at San Tan Valley Democrats meeting

Dr. Rev. Helen Hunter, a write-in candidate for the Arizona House, legislative district 16, is the featured speaker for the San Tan Valley Democrats meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20.

She is a community organizer, social justice advocate, seasoned pastor, board-certified chaplain and businesswoman, according to a release.

She served on the Mesa Police Department Use of Force Committee; and as president of the East Valley NAACP.

District 16 includes northern San Tan Valley, east Mesa, Apache Junction and Gold Canyon.

The group will also hear from the non-partisan #InvestInEd ballot initiative and from other Democratic campaigns active in San Tan Valley.

The meeting will take place on Zoom and be live-streamed on YouTube. More information is available on the group's website at stvdems.com.
