Ahipoki restaurants to raise money for Arizona Coyotes Foundation

Posted

Through Dec. 31, Ahipoki will be facilitating a companywide fundraiser throughout its 10 Arizona locations, including one Queen Creek locales, on behalf of the Arizona Coyotes Foundation.

Customers can donate to the foundation at the register and can write their name on a Howler card to be displayed at the restaurant. Those donating will receive a coupon valid towards their next Ahipoki bowl, salad or tacos purchase at the Gila River Arena in Section 118.

Ahipoki will also donate $2 from every Ahimi Bowl sold to the Arizona Coyotes Foundation throughout the month of December, according to a press release. There is an Ahipoki at 21202 S. Ellsworth Road.

“We are excited to partner with the Coyotes Foundation again --- giving back to the community is important to us and with so many amazing organizations they support, we are thrilled to be a part of helping raise money for the foundation,” Michael Zimmerman, managing partner of Ahipoki, said in a prepared statement.

Coyotes President and CEO Ahron Cohen called Ahipoke a “great partner” and expressed his appreciation for the restaurant’s efforts in fundraising.

“We encourage Coyotes fans to visit an Ahipoki restaurant in December to support Ahipoki and the Arizona Coyotes Foundation,” he said in a prepared statement.

The Arizona Coyotes Foundation’s mission is to enhance the quality of life throughout Arizona communities by supporting non-profit organizations that promote healthcare, education and cultural arts programs for children and service men and women.

The Ahimi Bowl is a vegan and gluten free alternative to tuna made up of five simple ingredients including tomatoes, water, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil.

Customers can purchase a regular two-scoop bowl over rice for $5 and a large three-scoop bowl over rice for $7. This plant-based poke bowl option appeals to vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians and poke bowl fans alike.

Ahipoki partnered with Levy and the Gila River Arena in 2018 for the NHL season and continue to offer a dining option for concert goers and Coyotes fans at the Gila River Arena.
