Sandra Lee Goldman

Posted

Sandra, 90, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away November 14, 2020. She was born May 8, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York.
God blessed her with great strength, a good heart and a positive attitude to endure an abundance of health issues.
Sandra had a life career in retail, which started in N.Y. doing department store window displays. She later became a buyer in N.Y. Then in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the department manager for the Charles Room.
Sandra was a remarkable woman. She conquered the male dominated retail business by becoming one of the first female store managers for Goldwaters in 1997, when she moved from Scottsdale, AZ from Maryland (to live closer to her parents).
Her greatest pleasures and joys centered on the arts and painting. When living in Scottsdale she was a Master Docent for the Phoenix Art Museum. Sandra belonged to Temple Solel and sang in the chorus for the high holidays. She was also a member of Temple Beth Emeth (S.C.W.).
In 2001 she moved to Sun City West to start her retirement. Sandra was a member and the 2003 President of Sun City West Art Club. She won the 2006 People’s Choice Award with her painting “Funny Prince” - Frog. Sandra was a member and make-up artist for Theatre West. She was also a teacher for the Young Rembrandts and taught grade school children the power of drawing.
Sandra was an amazing woman who exemplified every aspect of the words: courage, fortitude, love and strength. Her memory will be far-reaching and never forgotten in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Services were held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary in Sun City, AZ. To leave messages of condolence for the family please visit www.sunlandmemorial.com.
