A Wonderful, Loving, Gentle Soul, Successful Woman, and Baker of Sweets passed away September 5, 2020. Roline was born to Homer D. Rice and Marjorie B. Ruggles Rice on December 11, 1931 in Hollywood, California.
Roline graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1952. She moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico in 1954 and worked as a Personnel Coordinator for the Los Alamos National Laboratory for nearly 25 years and retired in 1993. Roline moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1998, and was an active member of The Church of the Palms UCC, the local Zeta Tau Alpha Chapter, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Roline was preceded in death by her Aunt Pauline and her parents. Roline is survived by her children, Denise Baker, Pamela (Thad) Gardner, and Kevin (Marcia) Baker; as well as her grandchildren, Bianca Baker, Marissa Baker, Hayley Gardner, and Brooke Gardner.
She had many talents, including being a painter of still scenes, a talented seamstress who sewed awesome clothing and Halloween costumes for her children; an amazing baker who made wedding cakes, sweets around the Holidays, and was well known for her cheesecake and banana bread.
She was so proud to raise her three wonderful children and enjoyed sharing time with her four granddaughters.
