Robert, age 83, of Sun City, AZ, passed on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
Mass of Christian Burial on November 12th, at 11:00 A.M., at The Church of the Risen Savior, Burnsville, MN. Guests can zoom the service by visiting Bob’s obituary on the funeral home website.
Bob was born on March 3, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Myron and Lucille (Anderson) Riegert. After graduating from Bloomington High School, Bob served in the United States Navy.
He spent most of his career owning and operating two service stations.
Bob married Gloria Rebel on October 22, 1960. They settled in Burnsville, MN and raised two daughters. Bob and his family enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, and camping. He enjoyed Christmas, NASCAR, fishing, football, organizing and participating in snowmobile runs and donating time to Kids ‘n Kinship. He was an avid golfer and supported the 3M golf tournament.
Bob was a member of the church choir and the American Legion. Over the last decade, Bob has loved living in Sun City.
He also connected with a daughter he never knew, giving him a new purpose in life. The last few years, Bob found companionship in his puppies Brandy and Alex.
Despite life’s trials and tribulations, Bob found positivity from his Arizona friends. Bob was generous, independent, strong willed and readily available in time of need. He was charismatic, had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Bob is survived by daughters, Deb (John) Beuch, Ronna (Bart) Hauge, Ruby (Rocky) Timm; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Preceded by his wife, Gloria; parents; and brothers.
