The Phoenix Children’s Hospital 5K will "run" virtually on Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1.

The annual family-friendly event for runners, bikers, skateboarders, weekend joggers and everyone seeking fun activity, according to a press release, is a free, virtual affair that can be done from any location  to complete a customized course throughout the weekend .

All proceeds support Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Hope Fund, which benefits the hospital’s more than 60 programs and services funded solely or significantly through philanthropy, said the release, describing the virtual 5K and Kids’ Dash.

Done from any selected location, at one’s own pace, while safely distancing, participants are encouraged to get to the virtual finish line to raise funds for Phoenix Children’s Hospital at a critical time for health care.

Recruit family members, friends and colleagues to raise hospital funds and awareness. The first 1,000 adults to register will get a free cooling towel. The first 150 kids registered for the Kids’ Dash receive a special Kids Dash Participation Medal, noted the release.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The PCH 5K is possible with the generous support of its sponsors, including RSM US LLP, The Joint Chiropractic and AutoNation.

The release added that it is free to register. Fundraising is encouraged and donations are accepted.
