Nola, of Akron and Indiantree Farm, OH and Sun City, AZ, died May 18, following an epic, six-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 79, a demure woman of deep faith, limitless resolve and quiet, rapier-like wit able to wilt detractors in a single sentence.
She leaves her husband, Larry, three children, three stepchildren, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Nola retired from a banking career to take up with a writer, travel the world, deepen her faith and develop her art talent.
Memorial will be announced post-Covid, at South Peoria Baptist Church.
