McDermott receives DAR Community Service Award

Grand Canyon Member Carol McDermott recently received the DAR Community Service Award presented by Tochia Levine, community service committee chair.

Ms. McDermott received the Peer Leadership Award from the Arizona State University Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy, according to a press release.

Recognized for her continued efforts on behalf of persons living with serious mental illnesses, Ms. McDermott is an ongoing teacher, trainer, volunteer for the National Alliance of Mental Illnesses

Plus, she serves on the board of directors, the release added.
