Bryson Bost presents ‘Into The Wild’

The Madison Center for the Arts, a local performing arts venue, welcomes Bryson Bost’s “Into the Wild: A Journey of Mindfulness, Imagination, and Presence,” running from Friday, Aug. 5 through Dec. 20.

The Gallery at The Madison is an art exhibition space featuring pieces by local and national artists, including works from Alisha Marie Anglin, Holly Anderson, and Elena Pierson, and is located at 5601 N. 16th St., Phoenix.

Bryson Bost is a maximalist painter who is dedicated to the immersive nature of details, according to a news release. He aims to provide an optimal viewing point from every distance through patterns and hatchwork. Through this viewing point, Bost hopes that all those who choose to explore his paintings are rewarded with whimsical moments no matter how far they may be from the painting.

Bost was greatly influenced by the Mesoamerican cultures woven throughout Central Mexico. While receiving guidance at Instituto Allende in Guanajuato, the Azteca frequency amplified his creative process.

“The purpose of The Gallery at The Madison was to showcase talented artists, like Bost, in more ways than performing arts to help expand the arts within our community,” The Madison Center for the Arts Executive Director Ari Levin. “We are so excited to present Bost’s ‘Into the Wild’ and highlight his unique and expressive pieces this fall.”

In addition to his art exhibition, Bost will teach a masterclass series to the students at The Madison School District. There will be three classes from which teachers can choose, which will run from Friday, Sept. 2 through Nov. 4. All classes will be available to all teachers and students from each grade and school.

There will be a Student Art Show 5-7 p.m. Nov. 7 that will allow student art to be shown alongside Bryson’s works. The student art show will be open to the public.

Join Bost from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 for a meet and greet as he kicks off the opening night of his art exhibition at The Madison Center for the Arts.

The Galley will be open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to the public.
