Koren Hudson joins notMYkid

Koren Hudson has joined the notMYkid as clinical director to lead the nonprofit’s new behavioral health services program.

Ms. Hudson has a history of individual and group therapy and program development/enhancement, according to a press release, noting that she will launch notMYkid’s new venture into general mental health and substance use disorder treatment services for adolescents and their families.

A licensed professional counselor, she received her master’s degree in professional counseling with a concentration in trauma, abuse and deprivation from Ottawa University.

Trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, she completed licensure hours as a trauma therapist with a focus on therapy to help families understand the impact of trauma while healing from it.

“She has over 12 years of experience working in nonprofit outpatient behavioral health programs, four years in a management role and extensive experience in direct practice in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care facilities,” said Kristen Polin, CEO of notMYkid, in a prepared statement.

“Her passion for this work comes from her devotion and dedication to help children and families heal from trauma and addiction.”

With the new behavioral health services, notMYkid can offer prevention, intervention and treatment services to families, the release added of the Scottsdale-based non-profit founded in 2000.

Dedicated to inspiring positive life choices, notMYkid works to educate and protect community children by providing a continuum of prevention, early intervention, behavioral health treatment, and peer support.
