I want to thank the many men and women firefighters and their support groups who are battling the raging fires around our state. They have been working tirelessly in 100-plus degrees to keep the fires from reaching our homes. The danger to them is extreme with the wind constantly shifting, not ever knowing for sure if it will turn the fire in their direction.
As we watch the smoke rising over the mountains and smell the residue of the ash, let’s think about these brave men and women and pray for their safety.
