Distillery donates hand cleansers to long term care homes

Tito’s Handmade Vodka, noted as “America’s Original Craft Vodka,” donated a gift of specially-made hand sanitizer to care facilities statewide.
Boxes are stacked in a conference room at the Arizona Health Care Association, according to a press release.
The Arizona Health Care Association, which is said to be Arizona’s largest professional long term care association and advocacy organization, represents skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities by providing long term care services to residents.
“We’ve been moving these crates out as fast as we can,” said AHCA Executive Director David A. Voepel in a prepared statement.
“All our members – nursing homes and assisted living communities – need this stuff and they are so happy to get it, especially when it’s free!”
Expressing thanks to Tito’s, Mr. Voepel described the difficulty of accessing needed supplies while the price is “higher than ever,” for items from basic personal protective equipment to hand sanitizer.
“Tito’s kindness is a big morale boost to our health care heroes who continue to spend long, difficult hours caring for vulnerable, high-risk patients,” he added.
In March, Texas-based Tito’s pivoted its operation by initially producing 24 tons of hand sanitizer for emergency management officials, healthcare providers, nonprofits and other critical personnel, the release said.
So far, the company has produced and donated over 325 total tons of hand sanitizer to those in need in more than 25 states, including Arizona.
“Everything we do at Tito’s is rooted in giving back to communities, and we’re honored to supply hand sanitizer to the Arizona Health Care Association to aid Arizona’s nursing homes and assisted living communities,” said Courtney Bennett, Arizona & New Mexico Area Manager at Tito’s Handmade Vodka in a prepared statement.
“We’ll continue to produce and donate hand sanitizer for as long as there is a need, as well as support nonprofit organizations, healthcare systems and communities, to help the folks making a difference during this pandemic.”
