Budd Allen Armstrong

Budd passed away June 20th, 2020 in Surprise, AZ at the age of 88. He was born in San Francisco, CA on May 22nd, 1932 to James Elbert and Isabel Armstrong.
Budd graduated in 1951 from Balboa High School in San Francisco. He was drafted into the US Navy and served on the destroyer, USS Gregory as a veteran in The Korean War 1952-1953.
Budd was sworn into the S.F. Police Force in 1960 and worked as a Police Officer in the city at numerous stations in various assignments. His last years of service were at The Central Station which incorporates China Town, the Financial District and Fisherman’s Wharf. Budd retired in 1988 with 30 years of service and he and Barbro moved to their home in Kelseyville, CA. Budd immediately joined the Lake County Sheriff’s Department as a Marine Patrol Officer patrolling the lake, Clear Lake. Budd worked another 16 years and finally after 46 years of being in Law Enforcement, he retired in 2004.
Budd and Barbro moved to Arizona in 2009 where Budd spent his last years in the nice sunny retirement community of Sun City West.
Budd was kind, he was fair, and he was well liked and respected. He will always remain in the hearts of us who loved him.
Budd was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers James and Donald Armstrong.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbro; his sister, Claire Passanissi (Sebastian);his daughter, Sharon Curtis (David); his son, David Armstrong; grandchildren, Jason Curtis (Megan) and Danielle Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Ellie Curtis and Skye Armstrong. Budd will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and friends in California, Arizona and Sweden. He leaves two special brother-in-laws, Orjan (Ann-Kristin) and Staffan Falk.
Interment at The National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona will take place at a later date.
The Celebration of Life will be held at a later time in California.
