Valley Vista hires current Centennial athletic director

Posted

The Dysart Unified School District board meeting recently approved  the hiring of Peter Jelovic as the Valley Vista High School athletic director for the 2021-22 school year.

Mr. Jelovic has been the athletic director at Centennial High School in Peoria for three years. Prior to that he was  the athletic director at Chino Valley High School.

He will replace longtime Valley Vista AD Brad Larremore, who is moving from the school in Surprise to Dysart High School as athletic director next year, filling the vacancy as full time athletic director that the district's high school in El Mirage has lacked this year.

Jelovic was placed on administrative leave with the Peoria Unified School District in January 2020 along with then-Centennial principal William Sorenson. Jelovic was cleared to return to work later within a few weeks. Sorenson did not and is now a PUSD board member.
