Time to consider back-to-school safety in Peoria
Police will be strictly enforcing traffic safety and parking violations in school zones
Posted
Peoria Unified School District schools and others start the new school year on Aug. 4, so it's time to remember safety.
Picking up and dropping off little ones at schools can be hectic for students and their parents.
Remember to slow down in school zones, yield to children in the crosswalks and do not drive distracted.
To ensure the safety of all students, the Peoria Police Department will be strictly enforcing traffic safety and parking violations in school zones. Peoria Unified School District and Peoria Traffic Engineering work closely to minimize the impact on families, as well as the surrounding communities, while still maintaining the safety of children.
