Steven Mark Taylor

Posted

Steven, 67, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Steve was born in Lenexa, Kansas to Mack Baylis and Doris Jean Taylor.
He left behind a devoted wife, Sharon. They loved to travel across Arizona together, but their very favorite place was in their beautiful home that they designed themselves. The two of them spent many hours on their porch watching the sunset and dancing in their living room.
Other than his wife, he is survived by three children; Rebecca (Bryan) Wade, Audrey (Matt) Holt, Steven (Larissa) Taylor, and two bonus children; Barry Creel, and Joy (Aaron) Saltou. His sweet grandchildren are missing him greatly: Emma Jane, Nora Bryn, Luke Wade; Ally Jae Virden, and Liliana Lynn Saltou.
Steve loved to spend time camping with his children when they were younger and continued to share in that joy as they grew, taking all of his family on many hikes. Fishing and playing baseball with his grandkids were some of his greatest joys. He was a lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Dallas Cowboys, and Phoenix Suns, all of which frequently disappointed him. Steve made sure to watch just about every sport, musical or historical documentary he could find. If you knew Steve, you knew his sweet laugh and great sense of humor. Bruce Springsteen, The Beach Boys, and The Beatles were some of his most frequently played music. His death leaves a hole in the hearts of those that knew him and loved him. A private service will be held at a later date.
